SMOF International Animation Festival: Stop Motion Festival Opens for Entries

SMOF is the only animation film festival with a focus on stop motion that is currently taking place in South America.
Focused mainly for a young adult audience. With a clear emphasis on audiovisual education and training, it promotes cinema and its creation as tools for transforming society.
At SMOF you can find short film competitions, laboratories, workshops, exhibitions, clinics, seminars, retrospectives, conferences, courses and talks given by animation leaders from Argentina and from different parts of the world, free of charge, thus trying to facilitate public access to international quality educational and training proposals.
The following animation categories will be awarded:
- Best Latin American stop motion short.
- Best international stop motion short.
- Best documentary animation short (free technique)
- Best video clip in stop motion
- Best Argentinian video minute in stop motion.
Works carried out from 2021 to the present can participate. Shorts with mixed techniques can participate where more than 50% of it is made in stop motion.

The 5th SMOF Laboratory promotes the production of Latin American stop motion animation short films.
